Like Drinking Water From a Fire Hose: DNC/RFK Edition
Another bra burner of a week, but the Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. announcement effectively set fire to the DNC house.
Good morning! And Happy Monday. Welcome, new subscribers—thanks for wanting to be In My Orbit.
It was another big news week, and I frankly needed some brain bleach after being subjected to four nights of the Democrat National Convention. As I said to some colleagues, both parties are about the rah-rah and the spin, but the out-and-outright gaslighting at the DNC was just beyond the pale and scary. I am someone who consumes news from all sources on a perpetual basis and analyzes it constantly; so, I know what to parse and what to throw away. The majority of the people at the convention and watching the convention basically consume Occupy Democrats, CNN or MSNBC on the regular (I have a relative who that is the ONLY news they watch), so the convention served the purpose of opening up the tops of their heads, dumping in pabulum, and then revving it up to 100. The Obamas and their grievance mongering while they bounce between four 8 million dollar houses and sport several thousand dollar outfits was particularly egregious. I personally look forward to the day when these frauds are fully exposed.
Most of the coverage is on RedState, so for those who may have missed it, here’s the rundown.

Then the DNC buzz was completely killed with a brilliantly timed announcement by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. In a Friday press conference, after blasting the DNC and all their mess (among others), RFKJ suspended his campaign and endorsed former President and GOP nominee Donald J. Trump. The Democrats and their operatives are trying to downplay this, and coming up with some really laughable oppo against RFKJ, but consider them spooked. The Kamala Harris campaign is now trying to find ways to make an excuse and back out of the one debate with Donald Trump that she agreed to do; so, that tells you how much they’re spooked.
Here’s some RFKJ analysis on RedState.
After almost a year of writing opinion pieces for 1819 News, I’ve been asked to do some front page news items, and I am thrilled! All politics is local, and as a journalist, I have always deemed it important to not only be involved in the local community, but to cover the goings-on in it. How did we get a Kamala Harris for President? Because our “betters” started propping her up in the local community of San Francisco and then those elites ensured she failed up through the Democrat apparatus. It’s how the Left does it in every community and the only way to stop it is to recognize it and block it at that level. Sadly, the Right has not gotten this down, for better or worse. So, the people who are aware and on watch in their communities can head off at the pass terrible people and their terrible policies.
Don’t be fooled that just because you live in a red state you’re safe. The Left is about destroying America, and they are intent on doing that. Factions have been infiltrating Alabama’s education system for decades, and it is showing up in the library wars currently roiling the state. I’ve covered a bit of here, along with the national concerns. Here’s a brief video hit I did ahead of the Athens-Limestone trustee meeting on Wednesday.

I’m easing into this week with ample coffee and a bit more optimism thanks to that RFKK endorsement. We’ll see what the news cycle issues forth.
Stay tuned for what’s In My Orbit! Have a great week.
