Joe Biden Has COVID, and I Have Questions

In case you didn’t know, President Joe Biden just tested positive for COVID. This is just a day after another gaffe-tastic speech, where he stated he has Cancer.
Cancer? Seriously?
The useless White House press office and the legacy media were still trying to spin it, when the COVID news came down.

Also this morning, according to Real Clear Politics, Biden’s approval rating registered at 36 percent. Talk about bargain basement, he’s now in the sub-basement with those numbers.
Speaking of useless White House press, the intersectionality rich, but highly incompetent Karine Jean-Pierre issued this statement about President Biden’s COVID diagnosis:
This morning, President Biden tested positive for COVID-19. He is fully vaccinated and twice boosted and experiencing very mild symptoms. He has begun taking Paxlovid.
So, is this COVID diagnosis really legit? And if it is, and he’s being treated, what’s with all the pearl clutching and over explanation?

According to KJP, Biden is fully vaccinated and twice boosted. Yet, it didn’t prevent him from getting COVID.
Tell us again why everyone needs those COVID-19 vaccines and boosters?
Consistent with CDC guidelines, he will isolate at the White House and will continue to carry out all his duties fully during this time. He has been in contact with members of the White House staff by phone this morning, and will participate in his planned meetings at the White House this morning via phone and Zoom from the residence.

Consistent with White House protocol for positive COVID cases, which goes above and beyond CDC guidance, he will continue to work in isolation until he tests negative. Once he tests negative, he will return to in-person work.
Fascinating. After yesterday’s “Cancer” reveal, and the litany of dementia-consistent behavior from Biden, it’s not beyond credulity to see this as a convenient way to get Biden to go gently into that good night.
I can just see KJP two weeks from now, reading from her big binder: “The President is suffering from long COVID now, it has been damaging to his cognitive functioning.”

Sounds like the news writer is skeptical! Interesting tone for a supposed impartial “journalist”.
He is in a high-risk group simply by virtue of his age -- he is 74 -- and his weight. Trump is clinically obese, and obesity is a risk factor for a more severe form of the illness.
According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, people in the 65-74 age range face a five times greater risk of hospitalization and a 90 times greater risk of death from Covid-19 compared to young adults between the ages of 18-29.
Based on his physical in April, CNN reported in June that President Trump weighed 244 pounds and is 6 feet 3 inches tall. That gives him a body mass index of 30.5, making him technically, if mildly, obese. Obesity triples the risk of hospitalization from Covid-19, according to the CDC.
Talk about digging Trump’s grave—it’s almost as if they were wishing for further complications.

Then there’s the Leftist Guardian, which pretty much critiqued Trump’s COVID response and blamed him for being a fraud because he ultimately contracted a highly contagious disease, before there was a vaccine.
Not that it would have made a difference.

I wish President Biden well and hope he recovers quickly. The thought of word salad Kamala assuming the highest office is headache inducing.
It's cover for the cancer gaffe. An easy way to keep him in the basement for a week. They literally are thinking about a day or two ahead, it seems.
