In My Orbit...
The Girl is still coming down from the high (and the jet lag) of my whirlwind trip to Washington, D.C. I'm at least more awake than I have been over the past few weeks, so along with writing articles for the SCNUCC's Connecting Voices and my church's newsletter, I penned an article on my Examiner.com page about my friend Kathy Riley's organization, We Can, Pediatric Brain Tumor Network.
The organization is hosting a walk this Saturday, June 11 at 9 am in La Crescenta, and would love to have you walk or donate to the cause! Details can be found in my article and at their website.
And I get the distinct pleasure of seeing a friend (and mentor) on stage tonight in Unmerciful Good Fortune at the Underground Theater. Patricia Rae is a prolific actress, well known for her turn in one of my favorite indie movies, Maria Full of Grace, and for playing Morgan's mom in one my favorite series, Chuck. This is the final night for the production, so I'm glad I was able to fit it in. If you'd like to join me for an evening at the theater, you can purchase tickets here.
Look for Patricia in an upcoming comedy Gently Down the Stream, with Robert DeNiro, Amanda Seyfried, Topher Grace, Susan Sarandon, and Katherine Heigl. Always lovely to see people you like and admire taking flight in their calling!
