Happy Election Day! It’s been a wild ride to November 5, and in my almost 10 years of officially covering politics, it definitely has not been dull. I have said it before in this space, and I will say it again: This has been the most frenetic, chaotic, unusual, yet engaging and exciting election of my lifetime. There really were no dull moments and every effort at “rubber stamping” any candidate and pushing them on us was roundly rejected by so many.
I disagree with people who say this election is a choice between the lesser of two evils. Former President and GOP nominee Donald Trump and his running mate OH Sen. JD Vance have been crystal clear about their platform. Vice President and Democrat nominee Kamala Harris and her running mate MN Gov. Tim Walz really have not. They managed to cobble together a surface platform, but neither one has ever brought it home. So, refusing to be straight about your platform is in and of itself, a platform.
I see it as a choice between preserving constitutional rights and liberties or casting them aside for socialist rule. That has never been a question in my mind, and Harris has always been someone who represents a Marxist mindset. Thirty-five years of living in California and watching her rise from San Francisco mayor Willie Brown’s girlfriend, to elite board seats, to San Francisco District Attorney, to California Attorney General, California Senator and then Vice President has been illuminating and confirming. A Harris-Walz presidency would only further the destruction of the nation, the way she and her running mate furthered the destruction of their states of California and Minnesota.
It’s also a choice between good and evil. With all his issues, Trump is not advocating for the slaughter of the unborn or the violation of women by forcing them to compete and share private spaces with men with mental disorders. Harris and Walz are fully on board with this. While she has pulled back from her transgender advocacy, she stands 10 toes down on the murder of innocent babies for no reason and with no restrictions. That alone is disqualifying in my book.
But then there’s the economy. Harris-Walz wants to kill small business and force price controls and regulatory fiats, instead of giving Americans the ability to work and earn as they choose. They have zero plans for building the economy, opening up or preserving real economic opportunity, or for strengthening the middle class. This, despite their claims of promoting an “Opportunity Agenda.”
Just leave me alone to earn and pursue the American Dream, and then stop fostering inflationary policies that prevent me from doing that.
One candidate will help me pursue the American Dream, the other will not. It’s that simple.
On Monday, both candidates rallied and made their “final arguments” in particular swing states; but I feel like the ads they released in the past few days tells you exactly where they stand.
This was one of Harris’ last campaign ads.
WATCH:
Lots of Harris. Lots of disconnected shots to try and create a unifying theme. Lots of gaslighting. Her last statement, “As president, I will get up everyday and fight for the American people,” rings false. Why? Because she has failed to do it as Vice President. Frankly, her campaign has failed to embody any work for the American people, but lots of work to promote herself and hide her agenda.
Contrast this ad to one of Trump’s final ads.

I get chills every time I watch this video. It is awesome on so many levels. As a content creator, I envy it because it is so seamless and well-edited, and it translates well the message of WE THE PEOPLE in a powerful and organic manner. There were so many spontaneous, powerful and magical moments that occurred in the Trump-Vance campaign. You know what they were because they are weaved throughout the video, along with the coalition Trump has built with his fellow Americans. The video looks like the America I know and want to see preserved. There were not many organic moments in the Harris-Walz campaign, and it is reflected in the lackluster final video that focuses on me, me, me rather than We the People.
Many of you have voted , so this isn’t a pitch to vote for one or the other. I’m just happy you have exercised your civic duty and constitutional privilege. We cannot allow that privilege and others to be destroyed. In many ways, I personally feel as though this could be the last stand to either preserve them or lose them.
Today will be a busy day for both of us, so my husband and I voted early for Donald J. Trump and JD Vance.
For the preservation and championing of our freedoms. For our future. For America.
