Dr. Anthony Fauci's Curious Departure from NIH
He is not retiring, but taking what he learned at NIH/NIAID to continue to "advance" science and public health. <Insert *eyeroll* emoji>
For the past year, Dr. Anthony Fauci has teased that he may be retiring. Last he alluded, he said he may step down after the end of President Joe Biden’s first term, but he has never indicated a hard-and-fast date.
Not. Anymore.
On Monday, Lord Fauci announced the date of his “departure” as Director of the National Institute of Health’s (NIH) National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and Chief Medical Advisor to President Joe Biden.
Fauci’s announcement (in part) from the NIH website:
I am announcing today that I will be stepping down from the positions of Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and Chief of the NIAID Laboratory of Immunoregulation, as well as the position of Chief Medical Advisor to President Joe Biden. I will be leaving these positions in December of this year to pursue the next chapter of my career.
Even though he’ll be 82-years-old when he steps down, and he’s been exposed for his complicity in the engineering and spread of COVID, not to mention his perpetually shifting policies and diktats in response to “fighting” the virus, Fauci is refusing to rid us of his malignant presence.
[…]
While I am moving on from my current positions, I am not retiring. After more than 50 years of government service, I plan to pursue the next phase of my career while I still have so much energy and passion for my field. I want to use what I have learned as NIAID Director to continue to advance science and public health and to inspire and mentor the next generation of scientific leaders as they help prepare the world to face future infectious disease threats.
So, he’ll just rake in more huge consulting fees, do his Mengele-inspired research under private cover, and play puppet master to all his minions who have been installed in public health departments around the nation (Looking at you, Dr. Barbara “Crypt Keeper” Ferrer).
Wherever Fauci pops up next, I pray he is somehow held accountable for the untold damage he has caused to our nation, our businesses, our families, and most egregiously, our children.
Fauci is the highest paid person in Washington, D.C., raking in a salary of $434,312 annually, not including benefits and all the press and perks he has received since becoming the patron saint of COVID. Whatever exit package he’s receiving, you know it is going to be hefty.
So, Fauci will have a cushy pension and war chest to fight off all those lawsuits coming. Like Phil Kerpen, some are predicting that Fauci may well skate being subpoenaed once he is no longer beholden by his position to appear before Congress. However, when Republicans take back the House and the Senate, they plan to still try, starting with a full investigation of the COVID origins, including the lab leak and gain-of-function research, both which have Fauci’s dirty little paw prints all over them.
Along with Senator Rand Paul, and soon-to-be Senator of Missouri and current Attorney General Eric Schmitt, many of Fauci’s staunchest critics and those who have actively worked to expose his corruption and malfeasance have weighed in with similar sentiments:
PETA Vice President Dr. Alka Chandna also had this to say:
PETA Told Fauci ‘Leave Now,’ and He’s Stepping Down 2 Years Ahead of Schedule
PETA’s wish has come true on the heels of its 42nd anniversary. Anthony Fauci is stepping down this December following our relentless public and private pressure, rather than waiting for the end of President Joe Biden’s first term, as he had announced earlier. Fauci is now the second dinosaur, after former National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Francis Collins, to announce his departure following PETA protests. Under Fauci’s direction, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases has harmed and killed millions of animals including tens of thousands of monkeys in failed AIDS experiments (which haven’t produced a single vaccine to prevent HIV) and dogs who have been subjected to outrageously cruel and pointless poisoning tests.
In PETA’s words, “Neither Fauci nor Collins has met an animal they wouldn’t experiment on,” and Fauci’s department will hopefully make way immediately for a forward-thinking NIH leader who will implement state-of-the-art, human-relevant research methods that don’t use animals, such as those described in PETA scientists’ groundbreaking Research Modernization Deal.
I am not dancing a jig over this. Fauci basically walking away without penalty, and with lots of our taxpayer money, then going on to rake in even more money, is not a victory. Last week, the CDC’s Dr. Rochelle Walensky pronounced that the agency has made mistakes (that’s an understatement), but that they are revamping and will do better <insert *eyeroll* emoji>. And this past weekend, the Los Angeles Department of Public Health tweeted this curious announcement:
Bankrupt blue states have become addicted to COVID funds, so this is the latest ploy to keep that gravy train going.
This is all more than curious in terms of timing, and ultimately suspicious and convenient.
Despite the political elites best efforts to lie, obfuscate, and cover up, major government agencies and the unelected bureaucrats who have run them into the ground are under greater scrutiny than ever before, and the American people are raising more of an outcry about the lives that are being destroyed and the work that is being done by people they did not elect and who represent the best interests of outside, dare I say, foreign powers.
Make no mistake: This is the bright, shiny object of the moment to shift our gaze from what is currently happening (the scheduled release of the redacted affidavit authorizing the Mar-a-lago Raid comes to mind), or what they plan to do next.
And as Dr. Houman David Hemmati points out, the replacement director will no doubt be far worse… if that is possible.
As some in our national legislature are calling for the stripping and even the dismantling of the FBI, perhaps this is also the time to use Fauci’s resignation as an opportunity to do the same to the national public health apparatus.
It’s way past time.
Below is my coverage of the evil Fauci over at RedState. Take a walk down memory lane for further evidence and reminders that this man is no public servant, but he is a public menace.
Not to mention a Cover Boy.
I Do Not Come to Praise Fauci, but to Bury Him
